Originating from the Chinese province of Zhejiang, Lychee Coconut Green Tea is based on a fine variety of green tea known as “Chun Mee” or “old man's eyebrow”. A delicious, organic green tea, its small, fine, regular leaves produce a sweet, sophisticated beverage.
This original blend subtly combines the freshness of green tea with the fruity and slightly acidic notes of Lychee and the warm, delicious notes of Coconut. Enhanced by grated coconut flakes, which add a milky and deliciously sweet, rounded flavour to this composition, this herbal tea can be enjoyed hot or with ice. Lychee Coconut Green Tea is delicious as iced tea! Use this recipe to make home-made iced tea.
To prepare the iced tea
1. Pour 1 L of water into a glass bottle. Hermetically sealed lemonade bottles are ideal for making iced tea.
2. Infuse 1 soup spoonful of loose tea for 1 hour, stirring from time to time.
3. Filter the tea leaves using a sieve or tea strainer. Add sugar, liquid sugar or honey to the herbal tea, to suit your taste.
4. Then refrigerate the drink for 6 hours.
The tea can be served with ice cubes or crushed ice for a perfectly refreshing drink. Decorate your glass with a slice of lemon.
